This is the English version of the Dutch medical disclaimer. If the English and Dutch texts differ in any way, the Dutch version prevails.
Important medical information
PMDD Tracker is NOT a medical device and NOT a diagnostic instrument.
About the App
PMDD Tracker is a personal symptom recording app that helps you keep track of your daily symptoms and recognise patterns. It is intended as an aid to the conversation with your healthcare provider.
About the DRSP form
The Daily Record of Severity of Problems (DRSP) is a scientifically validated recording instrument used by researchers and clinicians worldwide to keep track of premenstrual symptoms. The DRSP is not a diagnostic test: it is a tool for recording your symptoms systematically.
About the cyclic overview
The cyclic overview in this app is based on the C-PASS method and is an aid for recognising patterns in self-reported data. The cyclic overview:
- Does not provide a diagnosis and shows no classification labels to the user
- Does not replace the judgement of a doctor or specialist
- Presents factual data that needs to be interpreted by a healthcare provider
- Is based on published scientific research (Eisenlohr-Moul et al., American Journal of Psychiatry, 2017)
What you need to know
- Always consult a doctor or specialist for professional advice about PMDD or other conditions
- Never make medical decisions based solely on the information in this app
- The app may contain errors or be incomplete
- Individual results may vary
In the event of a crisis
If you are in a crisis situation or have suicidal thoughts, please reach out now.
The App shows the helplines for the country you are in, because a number you cannot call is worse than no number at all. Which helplines those are is set out below.
In the Netherlands
- Call 113: Zelfmoordpreventie, the Dutch suicide prevention helpline (24/7)
- Call 0800-0113: the same service, free of charge
- Chat at 113.nl: help online
- Call 112: emergency services
Anywhere else
- findahelpline.com: finds a helpline in your own country, in your own language
- Call 112: the European emergency number, which also works on many mobile networks outside Europe
You are not alone. Help is available.
How this disclaimer is shown in the App
This disclaimer is shown:
- The first time you use the App (onboarding)
- In the settings under "About the App"
- When you open the cyclic overview
