Common questions
How do I create an account?
Open the app and tap Create account. You can sign up with email and password, or tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. Email sign-up sends a confirmation link. After that (or straight away with Apple or Google) you can log in and start tracking.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. PMDD Tracker works fully offline. Everything is stored on your device. With an account, data syncs encrypted when you are online, so the same data is available on another device.
How do I delete my data or account?
Go to Settings → Account. You can wipe the data and keep the account, or delete the account entirely. See the step-by-step instructions.
How do I export my data?
- Settings → Data → Export all data: JSON. Restore it with Restore data
- Settings → Data → Export reports: a PDF by month or by cycle, shared from your phone
How does the PMDD Tracker app work?
PMDD Tracker lets you score 21 DRSP symptoms daily on a scale of 1–6. That takes about 2 minutes a day. You usually link that to your menstrual cycle: the app detects cycle phases, shows patterns in heatmaps and charts, and calculates the cyclic overview per finished cycle (once enough days before and after menstruation are filled in). You can also record DRSP symptoms on calendar dates without a cycle; then cyclic pattern recognition and the cyclic overview are not available. You can share PDF reports with your healthcare provider.
Can I use the app if I no longer have a menstrual cycle?
Yes. You can record DRSP symptoms on calendar dates, even without an active cycle (for example after menopause, after a hysterectomy, or with hormonal suppression). You follow symptoms over time and can share data with your healthcare provider. Without a cycle the app cannot recognise cyclic patterns and the cyclic overview does not run. The core of the app remains cycle tracking for PMDD; calendar tracking is an extra option.
Can I track my own symptoms and medication as well as DRSP?
Yes. Besides the 21 DRSP symptoms you can add up to 20 of your own symptoms (same 1–6 scale) and log up to 20 medications with name, dose, frequency and intake. Your own symptoms show in the tracker and the heatmap. Medication shows in the tracker and the PDF, not in the charts. They do not count toward the DRSP total or the cyclic overview.
Is PMDD Tracker free?
Yes. PMDD Tracker is free to download and use. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. All core functions (symptom recording, charts, the cyclic overview, PDF export and Support) are fully free.
Which languages does the app support?
The app and this website are available in English, Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Portuguese and Italian. You can switch language in the app and on this site. PDF reports follow the language you use in the app.
Can I share my data with my doctor?
Yes. PMDD Tracker generates PDF reports with heatmap, charts, day notes, cyclic overview and Support. By month or by cycle. You share them from the app using your phone’s share options (for example email or WhatsApp).
What is the DRSP?
The DRSP (Daily Record of Severity of Problems) is the most used scientifically validated instrument for daily premenstrual symptoms. It scores 21 symptoms from 1 (not at all) to 6 (extreme), plus 3 interference items. Recognition and DRSP.
What is the cyclic overview?
The cyclic overview in the app makes cyclic patterns in your DRSP data visible. It is based on the C-PASS method (Carolina Premenstrual Assessment Scoring System), a standardised scoring system published in the American Journal of Psychiatry. The app calculates it per finished cycle, once enough days before and after menstruation are filled in. It supports a conversation; it is not a diagnosis. Always discuss results with a clinician. Cyclic overview.
How does Support work?
Support has three parts: Clear days (what helps, what gives you strength, what you want to remember), Support days (signals, what you need, who can help) and a letter to yourself. Support today shows one action plus your letter on heavier days (DRSP average 4 or higher, at least 10 scores). The plan can be shared as a PDF.
Is the app a medical device?
No. PMDD Tracker is not a medical device and does not replace professional advice. The app is for tracking symptoms and spotting patterns. Always see a clinician for diagnosis and treatment.
